EVERY Kingdom Divided—A Warning to The UNITED States of America

EVERY Kingdom Divided
—A Warning to The UNITED States of America

“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand!”

If a Nation be divided against itself, that Nation cannot stand and will fall in time!

“Why Did The Roman Empire Fall?” “It fell because its political make-up left it unable to defend itself against invasion.” Other factors aside, “the political system was geared for occasional failures in competent leadership…Rome fell because its political make-up left it unable to defend itself against invasion.” (http://www.fsmitha.com/com/Rome.htm)

May this be a historically based warning to the (not so) UNITED States of America!

Certain mainstream media in America and certain leadership of the Government of the USA are deliberately or unwittingly contributing to a division from within, which is destroying this nation’s core political and spiritual foundation and fabric; possibly beyond repair.

With extremely selfish political posturing occurring each day among the media, various factions and so-called leaders in America, one may forget that this, once, great country was commonly referred to as The UNITED States of America. America has become the DIVIDED states of personal egotistical ambition.

What ever happened to “We the people of the UNITED States”?

“We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” *

You would think that if, in fact, the media and our so-called leaders had “we the people” in their best interest there may be a time when their own hypocritical, narcissistic and destructive political fighting would subside to insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity. Instead, we have vanity (an excessive belief in self and one’s own abilities or attractiveness to others) as the most central trait of leaders today.

Yes, healthy, honest and truthful debate is good for resolving issues and problems we face in this country, but not to the point where division is unwittingly or purposely created for one’s personal, group or party’s self-serving elitist agenda. At some point a real Leader and Statesman must stand up and say enough is enough, harmony must prevail if we are to be UNITED and stand as “we the people”.

One historical and spiritual fact is definite; JESUS CHRIST knows their thoughts because HE knows their hearts; whether it is deliberate or unwitting it does not matter.

“And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:” (Matthew 12:25)

“And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”
(Mark 3:24-25)

“But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.” (Luke 11:17)

As stated very well by a few commentaries on the Bible:

“A kingdom, or a family, can prosper only by living in harmony. The different parts and members must unite in promoting the same objects. If divided–if one part undoes what the other does–it must fall.” [1]

“The welfare of any kingdom, city, or family, depends on its concord and unanimity…” [2]

“Most states and kingdoms fall, not by the power of foreign enemies, but by the weakness due to divisions.” [3]

There can be and will be disagreement, but harmony (tranquility) must prevail within a reasonable time after the debate of divisive issues.

The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution of The United States of America was the foundation doctrine which UNITED WE the People in this once great Nation. Today, it seems that the Constitution is used by our so called leaders and others to divide the people.

May this be A Warning to The United States of America; if a Nation be divided against itself that Nation cannot stand and will fall in time! Because EVERY kingdom divided—against itself is brought to desolation; it is only a matter of time!
